About

We didn’t start with software. We started with our family.

Good Stewards wasn’t born in a boardroom. It was born around family conversations.

Over a decade ago, I began asking a simple question: what would it take for our family’s success to outlive us? Not just financially — but through our values, relationships, knowledge, and opportunities.

That question became a journey.

The G.A. Davis Family

A family institution.

Twelve years ago, my uncle and I made a decision. Instead of building wealth individually, we would begin building something together.

Not a family office. Not an investment club. A family institution.

For the first several years, we focused on one thing: learning how to work together. Because before a family can invest together, it has to learn how to think together.

Five years into that journey, we began investing collectively. We started small — just $25 per month.

The amount wasn’t important. The habit was. We weren’t trying to become wealthy overnight. We were learning how to operate like an institution.

Today, our family has identified more than $5 million in family assets and is working toward a multi-generational governance structure, including a dynasty trust.

But the greatest achievement isn’t the assets. It’s that we’ve built a way for future generations to work together.

What We Learned

Most families don’t struggle because they lack wealth. They struggle because they lack coordination.
Money isn’t the missing ingredient. An operating system is.

That’s why so many successful families lose momentum across generations. Not because they failed financially — because they never became institutions.

Why We Built Good Stewards

The operating system we needed didn’t exist.

As our family grew, we realized there wasn’t a platform designed to help ordinary successful families become extraordinary institutions.

There were family offices — but they were built for the ultra-wealthy. There were financial advisors — but they focused on individuals. There were investment platforms — but they didn’t help families organize themselves.

So we built it. Good Stewards is the framework, platform, and methodology we wished we’d had on day one.

Our Mission

Every successful family deserves to become an institution.

Not so they can accumulate more wealth — but so they can create more opportunity.

For their children. Their grandchildren. And the generations they’ll never meet.

Our Vision

Success measured by more than net worth.

We envision a future where families know their KIN Number. Where they intentionally invest in one another. Where they govern themselves with clarity.

And where every participating household has a pathway toward financial independence.

Founder & CEO

Mershard Frierson

Mershard Frierson is the founder and CEO of Good Stewards. Over the past twelve years, he and his uncle grew the G.A. Davis Family from a $25-a-month habit into a multi-generational institution that has identified more than $5 million in family assets. Good Stewards is the operating system he wished he’d had on day one — now built so that any family can start where his did. He attended Fisk University and Vanderbilt University, graduating with a B.S. in Physics, and completed Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management program (OPM Cohort 56).

This is just the beginning.

The G.A. Davis Family was the proving ground. Good Stewards is how we help other families build their own institutions.

Because your success shouldn’t end with you. It should become the foundation your family builds on for generations.

Start where we started.

Every family begins with one person willing to lead. If you’re reading this, that person may already be you.
