Legal Effect — You agree that your electronic signatures and acceptances have the same legal force and effect as a handwritten signature, and that electronic Communications satisfy any legal requirement that such Communications be in writing.
13. Day-90 Guarantee (90-Day Build)
DRAFT — PENDING ATTORNEY REVIEW
This section is a plain-language draft prepared for legal review and has not yet been reviewed or approved by counsel. It is published so that every guarantee claim on our website links to the terms that qualify it. If this section conflicts with a signed engagement agreement, the signed agreement controls.
What the guarantee promises
If you purchase the 90-Day Build ($10,000) and your family's club — the family office we build for you — is not live and transacting by day 90 of the engagement, you get every dollar back: a full refund of the 90-Day Build fees you have paid us, including the $2,500 deposit. The guarantee is a refund of our fees. It is not a guarantee of any investment result.
"Live and transacting" means all six of the following
The sixth item is the deliverable. The first five are the sequence that makes it possible.
Day 1 and day 90
Day 1 is the date the engagement begins, defined as the later of (a) the date the deposit of $2,500 is received and (b) the date of the kickoff session. Day 90 is 90 calendar days after day 1, extended by any paused days described below.
What the refund covers
If day 90 passes without all six conditions met, we refund one hundred percent of the 90-Day Build fees you have paid Good Stewards for the engagement, including the deposit. There is no proration for work performed, no deduction for time spent, and no requirement that you continue with us to receive it. You keep every document, entity, account, and charter produced during the engagement.
The refund does not extend to:
Client-dependency carve-outs — when the clock pauses
The engagement depends on the family, not only on us. The day 90 clock pauses, day for day, for each calendar day that any of the following is outstanding:
The clock resumes on the day the outstanding item is received or the paused condition ends. We will tell you in writing when we consider the clock paused and when it resumes, and the build tracker in your dashboard reflects the current day count.
Conditions outside either party's control
The clock also pauses for delays caused by government or agency processing times beyond published norms, provider outages, regulatory or compliance holds imposed by a third-party provider, natural disaster, or other events outside our reasonable control.
When the guarantee does not apply
The guarantee does not apply if you terminate the engagement, if fees due are unpaid, if information you or a member provided is materially inaccurate, if a member is ineligible under a provider's or a jurisdiction's requirements, or if a required approval is denied by a government agency or third-party provider for reasons unrelated to our work. If a club cannot be completed for one of these reasons, we will tell you promptly and in writing.
How to invoke it
No claim form is required. If day 90 passes without all six conditions met, the guarantee applies automatically: we will tell you in writing that it has been triggered, and a written request from you — an email to legal@goodstewards.io is enough — is all that is needed to start the refund. No justification is required, and we will not attempt to talk you out of it.
We initiate the refund within five (5) business days of your request, to the original payment method, through our payment processor. Depending on your bank or card issuer, the funds typically appear within five to ten business days after initiation.
If you would rather we finish the build than take the money back, you may tell us so in writing and we will continue the same coordination, filing, onboarding, facilitation, and account-opening work at no further charge until the six conditions are met. That is your choice to make, not ours, and choosing it does not waive your right to request the refund later.

14. Deposit & Refunds (90-Day Build)
DRAFT — PENDING ATTORNEY REVIEW
This section is a plain-language draft prepared for legal review and has not yet been reviewed or approved by counsel. It is published so that every deposit claim on our website links to the terms that qualify it. If this section conflicts with a signed engagement agreement, the signed agreement controls.
The deposit
The 90-Day Build ($10,000) begins with a deposit of $2,500. The deposit is part of the total engagement fee, not an additional charge: once the engagement begins, it is credited in full against the $10,000.
Fully refundable until your kickoff call
At any time before your kickoff call begins, you may cancel for any reason — or no reason — and receive a full refund of your deposit. One hundred percent. No cancellation fee, no deduction for payment-processing costs, no form to fill out, and no conversation you have to survive first.
Your "kickoff call" is the first scheduled working session of your engagement — the session that starts the day-1 clock described in the Day-90 Guarantee section above. Booking the kickoff call does not end the refund window; the call actually beginning does.
How to request a refund
Send a written request — an email is enough — to legal@goodstewards.io, or reply to any message from the person who ran your session. No justification is required, and we will not attempt to talk you out of it.
Timing and method
We initiate the refund within five (5) business days of your request, to the original payment method, through our payment processor. Depending on your bank or card issuer, the funds typically appear within five to ten business days after initiation.
After the kickoff call
Once your kickoff call begins, the engagement is underway and the deposit is applied to the engagement fee. This section's no-questions-asked window closes at that point, and any refund on request after it is governed by your signed engagement agreement, not by this section. The Day-90 Guarantee above is separate and continues to apply: if your family's club is not live and transacting by day 90, you get every dollar of our fees back, including this deposit, under that section's terms.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this section limits, waives, or shortens any cancellation or refund right you hold under applicable law. Where the law gives you a longer window or a stronger remedy, the law controls.
